The Control & Data Processor (CDP) is a Windows based PC that has been customized for high performance and stability. The CDP connects to a single or multiple Series 6000 enclosures and can be configured in a number of ways to fit any application. Operating and test utility software can be installed on the CDP to facilitate local setup, control, recording, display and troubleshooting of the 6000 data acquisition system. Combined with the Series 6000 DAS and the Operators Workstation (PCCOWU) via Ethernet, the CDP performs low-level operations to free resources on the Operator Workstation computer for data display, storage, distribution and reduction.
